Another milestone has been reached. It seemed just the other day that I was reporting my first photo to get 500 views, now I have a photo that has been viewed 1000 times!

I’ve reached another milestone on Flickr today, this photo is my first one to reach 500 views. It seems not so long ago that I would go for days with no views of my photos.

I was looking at my statistics on flickr and spotted a reference from an article on ninjacrunch.com to this picture that I took on my trip to Skye back in February.

Its rather flattering that the article is titled “Stunning And The Most Beautiful of Sunset Photography”

It seems just the other day that that I was announcing 10000 views of my photos on Fickr, and here I am announcing passing the 25000 view mark.

I ought to thank all the people who take time to look at my photos and leave comments, and especially the people who add my photos as favourites.

Mysterious WordPress failure

I have another website that I maintain that I switched over to using WordPress a few months ago. Apart from one hiccup recently when it was hacked it has been running fine.

I was away on Sunday and when I checked on it on Monday I got a timeout and a white page instead of the webpage.

It turns out that one of the people who can post to the blog had uploaded loads of large (bigger than 3MB) photos on Sunday and they were causing the problem, I deleted the original size versions of the files and the website reappeared.

Star Trek equals Hits

In the description of this picture I said that it reminded me of a set from the original series of Star Trek. I very quickly got lots of hits from the trekweb website because their homepage displays pictures from flickr that refer to star trek. So if you want to boost the number for visits your photo receives…
